Kids & Families Ministry Leader (Part-Time)

Hours: Approx. 24 hours/week (flexible, including some Sundays)

Epsom Vineyard Church is seeking a passionate and dynamic Kids & Families Leader to grow and develop our Sunday kids ministry (ages 0–11) and connect with families in our local community.

Planted in 2018, Epsom Vineyard is a vibrant, growing church with a vision to Love Epsom and build Communities of Kindness. We currently meet at Blenheim High School on Sunday mornings and at our Church Centre on Lansdowne Road for fortnightly evening services and midweek ministries.

We’re part of the Vineyard movement and believe everyone gets to play—including children. We are seeking someone who shares our heart for seeing children meet and know Jesus, be filled with the Holy Spirit, and live out Kingdom values.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Leading and developing Sunday kids ministry

  • Overseeing and developing our community family ministries and connecting with families in the wider Epsom community

  • Shaping the future vision of kids & families ministry at EV

  • Building and equipping a passionate volunteer team

  • Overseeing the safeguarding practices and admin for these ministries

  • Administration to support these ministries

  • Connecting with the wider Vineyard movement and developing your skills and experience in kids and families ministry

  • Supporting the wider mission and vision of Epsom Vineyard Church

Room to Grow (Vision for the Future)

While this is currently a part-time role, there is significant potential for it to grow as our church and ministry capacity expands. In the future—and with the right person and resources—we see opportunities to develop:

  • Parenting courses for the community / church families

  • Grow Baby initiative

  • CAP Money Kids in more schools

  • New family outreach (e.g. after-school club or holiday club)

  • Connection with Spinnaker (schools ministry in Epsom)

We’re looking for someone who catches this vision, even if we’re not fully there yet.

You’ll Need To Be:

  • A committed Christian aligned with Vineyard values

  • Passionate about children’s ministry and family discipleship

  • A confident leader and communicator

  • Organised, self-motivated, and team-focused

  • Able to work some Sundays and special events (e.g. Christmas, Easter)

Bonus: Experience in kids or family ministry, admin, or leadership is desirable but not essential.

We Offer:

  • Flexible working hours (term-time option available)

  • £16/hour (based on £33,280 FTE)

  • Laptop provided

  • 12-month initial contract (with review and potential to expand)

  • Paid holidays & pension scheme

  • Place of work: 23 Lansdowne Road, KT19 9QJ (weekdays), Blenheim High School (Sundays)
